No. Tsuyu is built for creators who never appear on camera. AI narrates your script over background footage with auto-generated captions — no camera needed.

Yes: a 30-day free trial with 54 generation credits (about 3 short videos in the Standard look): card required, $0 today, then your plan (Starter is $15/month) bills automatically unless you cancel before day 30. There's no permanent free plan. Using all your trial credits early does not move the billing date.

Your trial has 54 credits to spend in 30 days. Trial videos use the standard voices and carry a small tsuyu.io watermark and an AI-generated label. When your plan starts, unused trial credits end and the plan's monthly credits replace them (570 on Starter).

Starter ($15/month or $144/year) gives you 570 credits a month, AI voices, the background video library and stock clips, editable captions and script translation. Pro ($29/month or $278/year) adds 1,890 credits, premium voices, uploads of your own music, images, clips and narration, animated manga panels, scheduled series, priority rendering and the option to drop the tsuyu.io end card. Studio ($79/month or $758/year) is everything in Pro with 5,700 credits and up to 5 series running at once. Every plan downloads a ready-to-upload MP4; Tsuyu doesn't publish for you.

A credit is what Tsuyu charges for anything it generates. Narration is 1 credit per 150 characters, up to 18 for a full 2,700-character script; imported, translated or AI-rewritten scripts are charged that full 18. A 60-second story in the Standard look is about 11 to 16 credits; with Vivid or Premium art it is about 46. You see the exact total and approve it before anything is spent. Editing, previews, exports and downloads are free.

Scene art is 1 credit per scene in Standard and 8 in Vivid or Premium. Consistent-character panels and standard cast portraits are 8 each. Thumbnails are 1 credit an image, or 5 at Best quality. AI b-roll is 10 credits a clip, or 24 in Cinematic. For a host: custom art is 38, an expression pack 157, each extra frame 17, and an animated intro 81. A failed output returns its credits.

No. Monthly credits reset at the start of each billing month. Credit packs you buy never expire. If a generation fails, its credits come back, even after the month has reset.

Yes. Cancel from your Settings page anytime. You keep access until the end of your billing period.

Yes. Every video gets word-level captions synced to the AI voice. You can also edit the caption text and restyle the font, size, and position — then re-render.

Yes. Open any finished video and hit Quick Edit to fix the captions or script, swap the voice, music, or background, or change the format — then re-render in a tap. No separate video editor needed.

All videos are exported as MP4. You can choose vertical (TikTok/Reels/Shorts), horizontal (YouTube), or square (Instagram) format.

Yes. Every completed video has a Download button that saves the MP4 directly to your device.

No — Tsuyu makes the video, you post it. Every plan downloads a ready-to-upload MP4 sized for Shorts, TikTok and Reels.

MCP agent connections are included with paid Starter, Pro and Studio subscriptions, with no separate connector fee. Your agent’s own service may charge separately. Agent requests use your existing generation balance; they do not add a second allowance. Trial accounts must create videos in the browser; agents cannot convert a trial into a paid subscription.

The current generation tool creates a narrated text video with a static dark background and Tsuyu's standard voices. An accepted text-video creation uses the server-approved all-in cost from your single generation balance. Narration costs 1 credit per 150 characters, up to 18 credits for 2,700 characters across all included voices. Preview costs 0 credits and does not reserve funds. Retry uncertain generation with the same request ID. Premium voices, AI b-roll, avatars and full timeline rendering are not available through MCP.

Use an MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP and a protected custom Authorization header. Connect to https://tsuyu.io/api/mcp with a separately created agent key. This is not OAuth; clients that require an OAuth connection or cannot set custom headers are not supported yet.

Read access covers your videos, render status, result URLs and configured voices. Where the timeline feature is available, optional edit access allows reviewed changes against an exact version. Generation needs a separate permission and a server-issued quote and explicit approval of its cost. Approval records client intent, not proof of human review. Agents cannot publish socially, delete content, manage billing or create more agent keys.
