When MotionVid is the better pick

  • Motion-graphics explainers built from templates such as paper cut-outs, maps and sketch animations
  • Choosing between several AI video and image models for cinematic footage
  • Adding graphics and captions to footage you shot yourself
  • 4K export, which MotionVid lists on its higher plans
  • A developer API, which MotionVid includes on its two top plans

When Tsuyu is the better pick

  • The story is the product and one narrator carries it from start to finish
  • You want a lower entry price and a free trial before paying
  • You make many narrated videos a month and don't want a separate export-minute cap
  • You want each part of a series to keep the same voice, captions and look

Questions

Is Tsuyu cheaper than MotionVid?
At entry level, yes: Tsuyu Starter is $15 a month and MotionVid Starter is $19. Both have a $29 plan. MotionVid's yearly discount is larger, up to 40% against Tsuyu's 20%, so compare the yearly totals if you pay annually.
Does MotionVid have a free trial?
Its pricing page doesn't list one; it suggests browsing example videos and templates first. Tsuyu has a 30-day free trial that needs a card and charges $0 today.
Do credits mean the same thing in both?
No. Tsuyu charges credits for narration and generated images, and exporting is free. MotionVid charges credits for generation and also caps export minutes per month on every plan below Creator.
Can I use both?
Yes. Make a clip or graphic elsewhere, then upload it to Tsuyu on Pro and above to use inside a narrated video.
