Karaoke captions: the current word lights up in cyan

Karaoke uses the same word-by-word timing as Default but highlights the spoken word in cyan instead of yellow. On blue-toned or warm footage the colour change is easier to see, and it gives the video a sing-along feel. The size and outline match Default, so the only difference is that colour.

Best for

Music-adjacent clips, lists read at an even pace, and footage where yellow blends into the background.

Tips

  • Cyan is lighter than yellow on dark footage but can wash out on pale backgrounds.
  • It follows the voice exactly, so a clean narration take matters more than usual.
  • If yellow already works for you, there is no reason to switch.
